While the DGLVR Program refers to PennDOT standards on chipsealing (tar and chip), those standards are actually intended for use on already-paved roads as a pavement preservation technique. There are special considerations and recommendations when applying a chipseal surface to an unpaved road. The Center has developed a new technical bulletin on “Chipsealing Unpaved Roads”. The webinar will provide an opportunity for questions and discussion, and a chance for feedback in order to make improvements on the draft technical bulletin.
