The Center has scheduled an initial round of 6 Stream Crossing Certification Trainings for Conservation Districts for 2022. These trainings will not only support conservation districts’ current contracts involving stream crossings but are to support the PROPOSED DGLVR stream crossing training requirements, slated to be effective July 1, 2023. The proposed training requirement states at least one conservation district staff member needs to have completed the DGLVR Program’s “Stream Crossing Replacement Certification Training” and received a certification of completion before the QAB can recommend or the conservation district board can approve a contract involving a stream crossing replacement. The trainings consist of 6 total sessions (4 virtual, and 2 in-field) spread over two consecutive weeks. Six separate trainings are scheduled regionally from June to December of 2022.
