Jefferson County

From the inception of the Dirt & Gravel Road Program in 1997 through 2014, over one half of the Townships in Jefferson County have received funding for road maintenance. That amount of funding is greatly enhanced by the labor, equipment and sometimes matching funds supplied by the Townships applying for a portion of the funds. Beginning in 2014-15, under the “new” Transportation Bill, funding was increased significantly. This enabled work to be completed in 2015 on nine roads in seven municipalities. Municipalities interested in participating in the program are encouraged to contact the District Office.
