Lackawanna County

The Lackawanna County Conservation District has been involved in the Dirt & Gravel Road Program since the program’s inception. The first projects in the County were completed in 1999. Since then, twenty-nine projects have been completed in eight municipalities throughout the County. The District has allocated over $500,000 for road improvement projects intended to improve the road while reducing the potential of sediment pollution to the waters of the Commonwealth. 2015 will mark the first year the District has received funding for projects for low volume paved roads.
