Greene County

As of 2014, Greene County municipalities now to apply for funding that was very limited in the past. Prior to 2014, on average Greene County Conservation District received approximately $80,000.00 per year which did not allow for many projects to be put on the ground. Due to the passing of PA Act 89 of 2013 the PA Transportation Funding Bill the Conservation District has seen an increase to approximately $400,00.00 for the Dirt and Gravel Road Program and $100,00.00 for the new Low Volume Road Program. This has increased our funding about 6 times what our annual allocation had been. This will allow larger complete projects in the future.
