Lawrence County

The Lawrence Conservation District promotes the protection, maintenance, improvement, and wise use of land, water, and other related natural resources within Lawrence County. Our focus is to reduce impacts to the County’s waterways though the use of environmentally sensitive road maintenance practices and improved materials. The goal of our program is to provide technical and financial assistance to our local municipalities to achieve both cleaner streams and better roads.
