Mapper Help
Welcome to the comprehensive help guide for the Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies public Mapper reporting system. To the left, you will find links to all of the tools and functions present in this system. The image banners for each topic serve as a guide to the appropriate button to use to perform the topic’s task. In addition to the help provided here, you can access a quick help guide for Mapper-specific dialogs by clicking the dialog’s HELP ( ) button. Additional information can be found by clicking the About button in the upper right of the Mapper interface.
The data included in the Mapper are derived from the individual county Conservation Districts. Each district is responsible for entering their respective sites and data into the login-based GIS Mapper. Therefore, the data included in this public Mapper are reported by county.
Please note that if you are a Conservation District employee with a login account, you can use the Log In ( ) button to go directly to the User page.
Getting Started
To begin using the Mapper, you need to select a county of interest. Upon starting Mapper for the first time, a message will appear on the upper right side of the map directing you to select a county. Using the “My County” drop-down list (lower left), select your county of interest. Once you have selected your county, the map will automatically zoom to your county’s extent (lower right). Once you have your county selected, you can use the Mapper’s tools to perform a variety of functions and reports.
Mapping Disclaimer
The hereby disclaims any and all liability or responsibility for any damage, injury, loss, claim or action arising from any error, inaccuracy or other problem with information provided in the CDGRS Mapper. The Customer hereby releases the from all liability, damage, claims, injuries or suits arising from any such error, inaccuracy or problem. Furthermore, the Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies and its officials and employees from any and all claims, liability, damages, injuries, and suits, including court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees, arising form the use of the CDGRS Mapper by the Customer, Customer’s employees or assignees, or end users of it.
The CDGRS Mapper data provided hereunder is provided “as is” and the Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies expressly disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties as to the accuracy of the data and merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and further expressly disclaims responsibility for all incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the data. The Customer acknowledges such disclaimers of warranty and expressly waives all warranties expressed or implied, and waives any right of claim for damages incidental, consequential or special, arising out of or appertaining to the use or performance of the data.
